Dear public land advocates,
During this time of giving, we want to recognize the wild places and wild things that inspire our work to protect the four million acres of federal public lands in the Clearwater Basin of North Central Idaho. Thanks to your support, we can continue to advocate for the permanent protection of places like the Weitas Creek Roadless Area, and the recovery of grizzly bears, steelhead and other native species that call this place home.
Friends of the Clearwater is grateful to be participating in this year’s Alternative Giving Market of the Palouse, which is set to take place on Thursday December 5 from 5:00 – 8:00pm at the 1912 Center in Moscow. In lieu of purchasing a holiday gift for a friend or loved one, please consider making a donation to us in the name of that special someone. Then express your appreciation for that individual by sending them one of the holiday cards we created just for this market. You can also participate in the market through the on-line portion of the program, which runs until December 14. Lastly, we would like to recognize the volunteers in our community that make the market possible. Thank you for your time and effort.
Patagonia has also just announced that they are matching donations made to Friends of the Clearwater, and other conservation organizations, through the month of December. You can make a generous donation through our profile on Action Works. Thank you to Yvon Chouinard and the staff at Patagonia for their generous support.
If you can’t make a financial donation, please contact us about other meaningful ways to get involved, and help us protect the Wild Clearwater Country. Grizzly bears, steelhead and others need you more then ever.
Have a quiet and peaceful holiday season!
Sincerely,
Katie, Gary & Brett
